Edgar
Edgar is a 4★ Survival character built around the Cosmos element and the Liquid arc, landing in the T2 tier of the current meta. This places him as a solid, dependable option for sustain-focused lineups without quite reaching the top-tier picks.

- Thea's Night Tavern
One of the easiest F2P healers to build — both Healing Bonus and HP scale his throughput. Call of the Twisted City adds HP and a heal bonus on his Redirect; Mind Royale is the F2P stand-in. Thea's Night Tavern is the recommended cartridge.
Recommended setups from community build guides (~June 2026); not the only viable option.
How Edgar plays
Edgar is a hybrid healer who keeps the team alive while quietly adding Cosmos pressure to longer fights. His tempo is reactive rather than explosive: you weave his Skill into the rotation to top up the squad, then lean on his Ultimate for larger recovery windows during sustained exchanges. Because both Healing Bonus and HP feed his throughput, he scales naturally without demanding precise rotations or heavy investment. He slots best behind a hypercarry, sustaining a fragile main DPS through aggressive uptime while a sub-DPS and a support keep the damage flowing. In team compositions he acts as the dependable backbone, freeing the rest of the squad to commit fully to offense, and his Redirect-style recovery rewards staying engaged with the fight instead of playing passively from the backline.
Strengths
- Extremely beginner-friendly and one of the easiest F2P healers to gear
- Throughput scales off both Healing Bonus and HP, so stat priorities are simple
- Provides reliable sustain that lets fragile carries play aggressively
- Flexible across hypercarry and full F2P team compositions
- Hybrid kit adds modest Cosmos damage on top of healing
- Low investment threshold to reach functional performance
Weaknesses
- As a 4★ Survival, raw output ceiling is lower than premium healers
- Reactive, support-bound playstyle offers little independent damage
- Relies on a strong carry to convert his sustain into wins
Edgar build details
Skill priority
Prioritise his Skill first, since it is his primary healing lever and benefits most from early levels. Follow with the Ultimate for its larger recovery windows during extended fights, then the Basic Attack for incidental output, and finally the QTE. This order maximises sustain per investment and keeps the team stable before chasing marginal damage gains.
Stat priority
For main stats, run Healing Bonus in the first slot and HP% in the second to push throughput on both scaling sources. Substats should favour HP% first, then flat HP, followed by Cycle Intensity and Break Intensity. Stacking HP compounds both his survivability and his healing, making it the cleanest investment path.
Modules & cartridge
Equip the Speedy Hedgehog set using four Type 3 pieces, the best-in-slot configuration for his sustain role. Pair this with the Thea's Night Tavern cartridge to round out his kit. Allocate every available stat toward Healing Bonus and HP, since both directly amplify his healing, then funnel remaining rolls into Cycle Intensity for smoother rotation uptime.
Awakening nodes
A6, A5, and A3 are the most impactful nodes and are each marked Best, so prioritise unlocking them whenever resources allow. A1 is also valuable, granting a Key of Truth each time any teammate casts a Support Skill, which adds extra utility within support-heavy compositions.
Investment
Edgar is one of the cheapest healers to bring online, so steady, modest investment is enough. Focus upgrades on his Skill and HP scaling first, level his Speedy Hedgehog pieces toward HP and Healing Bonus, and unlock his key awakening nodes as materials become available.
