- Fireflies and the Forest
Ready-Ready is her paid signature and best-in-slot; F2P Nanally leans on Song of the Whale for ATK and sustain against Broken enemies, with Oraora! as the budget A-rank for her basic-attack-centric kit. Fireflies and the Forest is the recommended cartridge for its stacking Crit DMG.
Recommended setups from community build guides (~June 2026); not the only viable option.
How Nanally plays
Nanally is a follow-up focused main DPS who builds her tempo around chaining enhanced basic attacks into supplementary strikes. Her rotation favors leading with basic attacks to generate momentum, then unloading her Ultimate when energy peaks, weaving her Skill and QTE between combos to keep pressure constant. Each follow-up attack feeds her Ultimate Energy, so the more she stays on the field swinging, the faster her burst windows come around. She thrives as the team's primary damage anchor, pairing with characters like Jiuyuan and Adler who set up enemies and supply buffs, while Haniel or Sakiri round out sustain and amplification. Against Broken enemies she capitalizes hardest, turning vulnerability windows into sustained, snowballing Plasma damage that defines the fight's pace.
Strengths
- Top-tier T0 main DPS output with a snowballing follow-up attack loop
- Self-sufficient Ultimate Energy generation keeps her burst windows frequent
- Excels at punishing Broken enemies for amplified sustained damage
- Flexible build path with strong F2P options that remain competitive
- Slots cleanly into multiple meta team cores around Jiuyuan and Adler
- Basic-attack-centric kit is intuitive and forgiving to pilot
Weaknesses
- Best-in-slot Arc is a paid signature, leaving F2P players a noticeable power gap
- Heavily field-time dependent, so she dislikes rotations that pull her off-screen
- Damage ramp relies on staying in melee range and chaining follow-ups uninterrupted
Nanally build details
Skill priority
Level her Basic attack first since her entire damage engine and energy generation hinge on chained enhanced basics. Follow with the Ultimate to maximize burst payoff, then her Skill to reinforce the combo loop. The QTE comes last, as it adds utility and transitions rather than core throughput. This order keeps her follow-up snowball and burst windows scaling fastest.
Stat priority
Run CRIT DMG on slot 1 and ATK% on slot 2 to push both her multiplier and base damage. For substats, prioritize CRIT Rate first to reliably trigger crits, then ATK% for scaling, followed by CRIT DMG to widen the ceiling, with flat ATK as a final filler. Balancing crit ratio before stacking damage avoids wasted potential.
Modules & cartridge
Equip the Fireflies and the Forest core set as her best-in-slot module, valued for its stacking Crit DMG that compounds across her rapid follow-up chains. Funnel CRIT DMG into the first slot and ATK% into the second, then route substat rolls toward CRIT Rate and ATK% so the set's accumulating crit bonus translates into consistently amplified hits during extended combos.
Awakening nodes
Prioritize A1 first, since Gang Formation grants 2.5 Ultimate Energy per follow-up attack (once per second), directly accelerating her burst cadence. Take A5 next to deepen her damage scaling, then A4 to round out the kit. This sequence reinforces her energy-driven follow-up identity before broader bonuses.
Investment
Invest fully in raising her level and ATK ceiling alongside her Basic attack, as both feed her follow-up loop. Prioritize her best available Arc and the Fireflies module before chasing secondary upgrades, ensuring her core burst and crit scaling come online as early as possible.
